Type C, the Europlug (CEE 7/16), is a flat two-pin plug for small devices up to 2.5 A: chargers, shavers, small electronics. Its 4 mm pins converge slightly and are partly insulated, so it slides into almost every socket built for round pins – types E, F, H, J, K, L, N and O. That makes it the closest thing to a universal plug for countries running on 220–240 V. It has no earth and is not meant for heavy appliances such as kettles or hair dryers.

What it looks like

Two round pins 4.0–4.8 mm thick and 19 mm apart, on a flat, slightly tapered body.

The drawings are schematic – they show the pin layout, not the exact dimensions of the standard.
